Wayne Albert – Assault Police, Disarm Police, Breach etc.

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – On April 4, 2012 at 11:45 a.m. a Huron County OPP officer patrolling on Main Street North in Exeter noted a black Dodge Caravan with an expired validation sticker. The van was stopped and the officer spoke with the driver who provided a false name. Once the true identity of the driver was established, the officer discovered he was a suspended driver with an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The driver refused to comply with the officer’s instructions and became combative with police. While attempting to arrest the male he kicked pepper spray from the officer’s hand; the spray was recovered by the officer.

Wayne ALBERT, age 31, from South Huron has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – No Validation, Drive While Suspended, Obstruct Police, Resist Arrest, Assault Police, Disarm police and Breach of Recognizance. He is currently in custody.
