Jake Bougard – 13 Counts Breach, 11 Counts Break and Enter

DAYLIGHT BREAK AND ENTER SUSPECT CHARGED

(HURON COUNTY, ON) – Investigators from the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment have laid 26 criminal charges in relation to several daylight break, enter and theft cases that have occurred in Huron County during the last month.

On April 6, 2012 just after 12:00 p.m. an alert citizen spotted a suspicious black Honda Civic that was parked at a Dutch Line residence. The suspect vehicle left the residence, however a licence plate was obtained and the suspect vehicle was stopped at approximately 1:20 p.m. by Middlesex OPP officers on Egremont Road in Middlesex. After examining the residence on Dutch Line it was confirmed a break, enter and theft occurred with a television and some jewellery stolen. Officers arrested the male driver and a subsequent search located the stolen property and a quantity of illegal drugs.

Investigators have connected the suspect to break, enter and thefts in Central Huron that occurred on Base Line, King Street, Cedar Drive, Don Street and Maple Street. Break-ins in Bluewater from Glass Street and Tuyll Street, a break-in from Morris-Turnberry and one from the Municipality of South Bruce.

As a result, Jake BOUGARD, age 22, from South Bruce has been charged with:

11 counts of Break and Enter
13 counts of Breach of Probation
2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance

He is currently in custody.
