(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – On Sunday April 22, 2012 at approximately 4:55 p.m. Huron County OPP officers responded to a two vehicle collision on Bluewater Veterans Highway between Golf Course Road and Bogie’s Beach Road. Officers were assisted on scene by Huron County paramedics and Goderich Fire Department members.
A burgundy Chevrolet Blazer travelling southbound on Bluewater Veterans Highway collided with a silver Mazda 3 travelling northbound on Bluewater Veterans Highway. Both female drivers were transported via air ambulance to Victoria Hospital in London with life threatening injuries.
Members from the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team are currently on scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation. Bluewater Veterans Highway between Golf Course Road and Bogie’s Beach Road remains closed until approximately 10:00 p.m. to allow for the police investigation. LP12106472
