SERIOUS CRASH ON BLUEWATER VETERANS HIGHWAY
Second Driver Dies in Hospital
(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – On Sunday April 22, 2012 at approximately 4:55 p.m. Huron County OPP officers responded to a two vehicle collision on Bluewater Veterans Highway between Golf Course Road and Bogie’s Beach Road. Officers were assisted on scene by Huron County paramedics and Goderich Fire Department members.
A burgundy Chevrolet Blazer travelling southbound on Bluewater Veterans Highway crossed the center line and collided with a silver Mazda 3 travelling northbound on Bluewater Veterans Highway. Both female drivers were transported via air ambulance to Victoria Hospital in London with life threatening injuries.
The single occupant driver of the silver Mazda 3 has since died in hospital. She has been identified as Patricia HOLLAND, age 39, from Kincardine, ON.
Members from the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team continue to investigate the crash.
