Stephen Fewster Caught Shoplifting, Assaults Manager, Controlled Substance

(ST.MARYS, ON) On Monday April 30, 2012 Perth County OPP officers in St.Marys were dispatched to a grocery store in St.Marys where a shoplifter was detained by store management.

Investigation revealed that a male person had entered the store and picked up a number of items. The male paid for only a few of the items he had taken and exited the store. He was stopped and questioned by the store manager in the parking lot at which point the male assaulted the manager. The male was held until police arrived. While arresting the male, police located drugs on his person.

Stephen Fewster (18) of St.Marys has been charged with “theft under, shoplifting”, “possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000”, “Assault”, “possession of a controlled substance – schedule 1”. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on May 25, 2012 to answer to these charges.
