18 Year Old Faces Speeding and Alcohol Charges

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – On June 3, 2012 at approximately 2:40 a.m. Huron OPP officers stopped the driver of a green Toyota Camry for speeding on Bluewater Veterans Highway near Church Camp Road. Upon issuing a speeding ticket the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening test was completed and the driver registered a warn range 3 day suspension. A vehicle search was completed and a quantity of suspected marijuana was seized.

As a result, an 18 year old male from Central Huron was served with a 3 day driver’s licence suspension and tickets for speeding, young driver – B.A.C (Blood Alcohol Concentration) above zero, and person under 19 years consuming liquor. He was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. He has a scheduled court appearance on July 30, 2012 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich. LP12149729
