Transport Truck and SUV Collide

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Friday June 15, 2012 at approximately 10:45 p.m. Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of the Perth Oxford Road and Line 29 east of Tavistock.

Investigation revealed that a Honda SUV was driving east bound on Line 29. It entered onto the Perth Oxford Road where it struck the drivers side of an east bound tractor trailer. The impact forced the tractor trailer into the south ditch while the SUV spun around, remained upright and came to a stop on the roadway.

The female driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries and was transported to Stratford General Hospital by Perth County ambulance. The truck driver, a 56 year old male from Harrow was uninjured. The SUV driver has been charged with making an “improper left turn”.
