OPP Investigating Residence Fire

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – On August 24, 2012 at 12:41 a.m. Huron OPP officers and members from the South Huron Fire Department responded to residence fire located on Andrew Street in Exeter. The occupants of the residence were able to safely evacuate prior to police and fire personnel arriving on scene. The two storey brick residence and detached garage sustained extensive damage. The total dollar value of damage sustained is unknown at this point.

The cause of the fire is unknown. Investigators from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office and the Huron County OPP Crime Unit are investigating.
