(Puslinch Twp, ON) – On Wednesday September 19, 2012 at approximately 10:50pm members of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit were conducting mobile radar and monitoring traffic on County Road 34 near County Road 32 in Puslinch Township. At this time and location Constable Adam Houser observed a 2007 Pontiac Torrent travelling westbound well above the speed limit. Police clocked the auto on radar at 124 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. The driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Officers investigated the driver and discovered that he had been drinking. The driver refused to comply with the demand to complete a roadside screening test.
Harbinder Kang aged 28 of Cambridge has been charged with Refuse to Provide Breath Sample contrary to the Criminal Code and Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on October 23, 2012 to answer to the charges
