On Saturday October 6, 2012, the Guelph Police Service set up R.I.D.E spot checks at various locations in the city of Guelph. During this time, 550 vehicles were checked and an approved screening device was used 12 times. Officers also issued one ticket for public urination.
On Sunday October 7, 2012 at 2:16 a.m., a male entered the R.I.D.E lane on Macdonell Street Guelph, and the demand for an approved screening device was given.
Quang LUONG 43 years of Guelph was charged with Refuse/Fail to Provide a Breath Sample. His vehicle was impounded for seven days and received a 90-day ADLS licence suspension. He will appear in court in October.
