(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) – On Monday November 19, 2012 at approximately 4:18pm County of Wellington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting RIDE spot checks on Concession 1 just east of Townline Road in Puslinch Twp. At this time and location officers investigated the occupants of a 2001 Dodge that came upon the checkpoint. Investigation revealed that the male driver was unlicensed and had open liquor in the vehicle. The male passenger also had open liquor as well as a large quantity of marihuana in his possession. The driver was issued offence notices for his violations.
Patrick Kavanagh aged 53 of Cambridge been charged with Possession of Marihuana Over 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Have Open Liquor contrary to the Liquor Licence Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on December 18, 2012 to answer to the charges.
