(CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On December 7, 2012 at 3:40pm a County of Wellington OPP officer stopped a 2007 Nissan Sentra for a traffic violation on Wellington Road 17 near Beatty Line, Nichol Township. Investigation revealed the male driver took the vehicle without the consent of the owner, and used licence plates not authorized for that vehicle.
Benjamin Peters, age 20 of Southgate Township faces charges of Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada, and Use Plate Not Authorized for vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on January 18, 2013 to answer to the charges.
