Police Cruiser Rammed – Three Arrested

(TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH, ON) – On Wednesday, December 12, 2018 members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information from another Police Service that a stolen motor vehicle from Mississauga was being tracked by OnStar Technology and was in the area of Brock Road south near Nicholas Beaver Road. As well, the vehicle also had stolen plates attached to it.

Officers converged on the area and observed the grey, four-door sedan parked at a gas station on Brock Road with the engine running and occupants inside of it. In an effort to preserve public safety, officers attempted to prevent the vehicle from exiting the parking lot. The driver of the vehicle accelerated at a high rate of speed in an attempt to leave the parking lot and collided with a police vehicle. The three male occupants were taken into custody. A quantity of drugs and break and enter tools were located during the searches subsequent to arrests.

33-year-old Chamkaur Singh SIDHU of Brampton, 27-year-old Pushpinder DHILLON of Brampton and Mandeep GILL of Brampton were all arrested and charged.

The 3 male parties are charged jointly with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:

Possession of Property Obtained by a Crime Under $5000

Possession Break In Instruments

Possession of Methamphetamine

Possession of Heroin

SIDU charged additionally with:

Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer

Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle

Fail to Comply with Recognizance X2

DHILLON charged additionally with:

Fail to Comply with Recognizance

GILL charged additionally with:

Possession of Heroin

The males were all held for Bail Hearings.
