(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Tuesday afternoon February 12, 2013, Perth County OPP officers in Listowel were contacted by staff from the Listowel Liquor Store, advising that a male person had just stolen liquor from the store.
A description of the male was obtained by police. The area was patrolled and a male matching the description was observed walking on Elma St. W. near Barber Ave. S. The bottle of liquor was located in the male’s possession.
Joseph POWELL (31) of the Municipality of North Perth was arrested and charged for theft-under, shoplifting, and breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing on Wednesday February 13, 2013. At the bail hearing he was release and was ordered to appear in Listowel criminal court on Wednesday February 27, 2013 for a first appearance date.
