Russell Brandon & Ronald Reuger – Trafficking

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) check has resulted in a pair of Huron County males facing drug trafficking and drug possession charges. At approximately 4:25 p.m. on April 20, 2013 a white Toyota Solara entered a R.I.D.E checkpoint located at Base Line and Blyth Road in the village of Auburn. While speaking with the two occupants, officers observed open alcohol inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was completed which resulted in officers locating marihuana and cannabis resin inside the vehicle. Subsequent investigation revealed the driver was on bail conditions to not be in possession of controlled substances. Both were arrested at the scene and face the following charges:

The driver, Russell BRANDON, 47, from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with: Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to section 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and two counts of Fail to Comply with a Recognizance contrary to section 145(3) Criminal Code. He has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on May 13, 2013.

The passenger, Ronald REUGER, 57, from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with: Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to section 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on June 10, 2013.
