(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers have charged two following a traffic stop on April 21, 2013. At approximately 8:00 p.m. officers stopped a silver Honda on London Road near Crediton Road when the passenger was observed failing to wear his seatbelt. While speaking with the two occupants officers observed a suspected illegal drug inside the vehicle.
Both the driver and passenger were arrested and were found to be in possession of an illegal drug.
The driver, Rebecca HERN, 19, from South Huron is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule 1 contrary to section 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Fail to Surrender Insurance Card and Fail to Surrender Driver’s Licence. She has a court date scheduled for June 27, 2013 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter.
The passenger, Kyle CAMPBELL, 26, from South Huron is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule 1 contrary to section 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Passenger Fail to Properly Wear Seat Belt. His court date is also scheduled for June 27, 2013 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter.
