(Wellington County – Town of Erin, ON) On Friday, 26 April, 2013, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of Wellington County OPP, Wellington County Crime Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team, and West Region Canine, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property on 5th Line, in the Town of Erin.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, a sophisticated indoor marihuana grow operation was revealed. Police seized cannabis marihuana plants and processed cannabis marihuana. The combined estimated value of the seized controlled substances was $314,296.00. Police also seized offence related property that consisted of marihuana production and trafficking equipment with an estimated value of $18,000.00.
Arlyn GOOL (46 years) of the Town of Erin was arrested and charged with production of cannabis marihuana and possession for the purposes of trafficking cannabis marihuana. GOOL was released on a Promise to Appear and Officer in Charge Undertaking.
