(GUELPH, ON) On Wednesday May 1, 2013 at approximately 6:00am, members of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Mount Forest Traffic Management Unit (TMU) Highway Safety Division were conducting stationary radar on Highway 6 (the Hanlon) at Wellington Street in the City of Guelph.
At this time and location Sergeant Ryan Martin observed a northbound 2006 Pontiac travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 134 km/h in a 70 km/h zone. The driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Aleksander KOLEDIN aged 65 years of Guelph is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on June 19, 2013 to answer to the charge.
