(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Sunday Morning April 25, 2010 shortly after midnight emergency personnel were dispatched to a large barn fire on Line 81 south east of Listowel. The barn was nearly fully engulfed upon the arrival of fire department crews from the Atwood, Listowel and Monkton fire stations.
Over 90 dairy cattle and 25 calves perished in the fire. There were no injuries reported to anyone at the scene.
