(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) On Thursday May 23, 2013 at approximately 3:30pm, County of Wellington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a RIDE Program on Wellington County Road 29 at Wellington County Road 22 in Centre Wellington Township. A 2005 Toyota Echo entered the RIDE Program and officers detected the odour of fresh marihuana coming from inside the vehicle. This resulted in the driver surrendering a quantity of suspected marihuana to police.
Andrew BEAUCHAMP age 25 of Oakville has been charged with Possession of Marihuana under 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on June 25, 2013 to answer to the charge.
