The Grey Bruce Agriculture & Culinary Association presents a signature Field to Fork Feast on May 30, 2010.
Featuring at least 15 local chefs using local foods, the feastibles will be served on edible “plates†as tastings. Beverages will be served in reusable mugs and glasses. Guests pay a $20 and a donation to the Wiarton Salvation Army Food Bank.
The 15 food tables include such notable local chefs as Robin Pradhan (Rocky Raccoon), Paul Lavender (Munshaw’s Bistro), Carey Mclellan (Noah’s Inn), and local Wiarton and area culinary geniuses. All chefs and food suppliers are members of the Grey Bruce Agriculture & Culinary Association. Featured foods include bison, chicken, beef, trout, mushrooms, wild spring greens, garlic, pumpkin, local herbal tea, coffee, and more …
Added benefits for guests include a community information area, local musicians, silent auction featuring mainly experiential activities, and speakers.
The winners of the Punchless Punch contest will be announced at the Feast, with their delicious non-alcoholic punches available for guest tasting.
A portion of each adult ticket sold goes to the Wiarton Salvation Army Food Bank. The Arts Program Fund at Peninsula Shores District School will also be supported with a portion of the proceeds.
