(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA – ON) – On Friday, June 7, 2013, at approximately 6:00 a.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), West Region Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) members with assistance from the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), the West Region Canine Unit (K-9), and Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence and house trailer on William Street, Wiarton, Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
As a result several cannabis marihuana plants were seized, along with a quantity of marihuana bud, and Oxycodone pills. The estimated street value of the controlled substances is $4,870. Two weapons, weigh scales, and Canadian currency, were also seized during the course of the search. Charges related to the weapons are pending.
Wayne GARRATT (49), Donna FEATHERSTONE (39), and Benjamin BROWNLEE (29) were arrested and charged with several offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). GARRATT and FEATHERSTONE were held for a bail hearing in Owen Sound Court on June 7th, 2013. BROWNLEE was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA).
