(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Monday June 10, 2013, around 3 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash on Line 60 just west of Hwy 23, north of Monkton.
Investigation revealed that the driver of a Chevy Optra was stopped in the east bound lane of Line 60 near a private residence. The Chevy was struck from behind by an east bound Chevy pickup truck. The lone male occupant of the Optra a 32 year old Municipality of North Perth Resident was transported to Listowel Memorial Hospital with non life threatening injuries. Two male passengers of the pickup truck also sustained non life threatening injuries. One of these males was treated at the scene while the other was transported to Stratford General Hospital.
The 18 year old male driver of the pickup truck, a Township of Perth East resident has been charged with careless driving” and is summonsed to appear in Stratford Court on July 16
