(CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) On Saturday June 8th 2013, at approximately 1:30pm, Traffic Sergeant Ryan Martin of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Mount Forest Highway Safety Division was conducting moving radar on Wellington County Road 29 south of Wellington County Road 18.
At this time and location, he observed a southbound 1970 Chevrolet travelling well above the posted speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 150 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. The driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Jordan LESLIE age 25 of Centre Wellington Township is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on July 17, 2013 to answer to the charge.
