(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Monday May 03, 2010 shortly after 7 p.m., Perth County OPP officers were called to Atwood to check on two suspicious males who were going door to door taking drinking water samples.
Residents advised that two males came to their door and stated that they were with a company from London which was hired to test drinking water in Atwood for the Municipality of North Perth.
One resident allowed them to take water from a tap which was observed by a neibour across the street being dumped out on a different lawn a short time later. The males took the name, phone number and address from the homeowners and advised them that if there was an issue with the water they would be contacted by their company.
A check with the Municipality confirmed that there is no company hired to test the water in Atwood.
The suspicious males were described as being Caucasian in their early twenties.
The first male had red hair and a goat-tee, he wore a red t-shirt with “Tap Out†written on the back.
The second male was wearing a blue shirt.
The males were seen leaving the area in an older model black Lincoln with a jacked up back end.
The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone who may have had these persons in their home or who has a better description of the males to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
