(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Saturday May 08, 2010 shortly after 6 p.m. Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a pickup truck stuck in a ditch along Line 28 south of Mitchell.
Upon police arrival the male driver was observed attempting to move the vehicle. The officer spoke to the driver and observed signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he registered over .80 mgs. on the Intoxilyzer.
Jeffrey Alce (41) of Huron East was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired and with operating a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of blood alcohol content. He is to appear in criminal court on June 28, 2010 in Stratford to answer to these charges. He was also served a 90 day drivers licence suspension.
