(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Thursday July 11, 2013, shortly after 9:30 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to assist ambulance personnel with a possible medical call on Perth Road 135 north of Sebringville.
As officers arrived they located an unresponsive male driver in a Jeep Liberty that had its engine running, lights illuminated, and was parked partially on the grass near a private laneway. The driver was found to be impaired by alcohol. The driver was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment where he failed to provide breath samples. Further checks revealed that the driver was a disqualified driver and was breaching a condition of his probation order.
Terry LEGG (29) of St. Jacobs has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, fail to provide a breath sample, breach of probation, and drive disqualified. He remains in custody until his appearance at a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on July 12, 2013. His Jeep was towed from the scene and has been impounded for 7 days.
