On July 26, 2013 at 5:09 p.m., the Guelph Police attended to a motor vehicle collision on Woolwich Street just south of Woodlawn Road. Investigation alleges that a female had attempted to make a turn southbound onto Woolwich Street when she struck a second motor vehicle. This female then pulled away from the second motor vehicle and struck a telephone pole off the roadway causing extensive damage to the pole. The female was found to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested. Damage is estimated to be in the thousands and no parties were injured as a result of the accident.
Susan ALLEN, 49 years of Guelph has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and drive over 80 mg. She will appear in court on August 13, 2013.
