On August 1, 2013, members of the Guelph Police traffic division responded to community complaints of excessive speeds on Wellington Street West, between the Hanlon Parkway and Imperial Road. In a two-hour span, police issued ten Highway Traffic Act tickets for speeds ranging from 84 km/hr to 98km/hr in the posted 60 km/hr zone.
The Guelph Police Service traffic division will continue to monitor vehicular speeds in this area and are committed to keeping our roadways safe for all drivers.
