(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) -On Sunday August 4th, 2013, at approximately 7:00 pm, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting stationary radar on Jones BaseLine and south of Wellington County Road 22 in Centre Wellington Township.
At this time and location Constable Ian Donaldson observed a 2002 Dodge Dakota travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 128 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. The driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Lance AIRDRIE age 21 of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on the 18th of September 2013 to answer to the charge.
