(HOWICK, ON) A 45 year old male driver will be making a court appearance following a traffic stop that took place on August 4, 2013. At approximately 11:45 p.m. the driver of a beige Buick LeSabre entered a R.I.D.E (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) checkpoint located on Huron-Bruce Road and Belmore Line in the Town of Belmore.
A driver’s licence check was completed which revealed the driver was suspended. A check on the attached licence plate revealed the plate was not authorized for the vehicle and further investigation revealed the vehicle was not insured.
As a result, 45 year old Vernon WARD from Howick has been charged with Drive While Under Suspension, Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle and Drive Motor Vehicle – No Insurance. He will have to attend court at a later date.
