(Huron County, ON) No matter what age or gender, liquor violations were running rampant in Huron County this weekend. In 15 separate incidents, 20 people were charged. The only age group NOT represented this weekend were those in their 30’s. People charged ranged from their teens to twenties, forties, fifties and sixties. Males and females were well represented. Charges included Driving With Open Liquor, Persons Under 19 Having Liquor, Persons Under 19 Consuming Liquor, Having Open Liquor – usually walking down the street, and Public Intoxication.
Very few warnings were issued by Huron OPP officers, sending a clear message that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated.
