(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Monday June 14, 2010, Perth County OPP officers were called to a serious motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Perth Road 135 and Line 39 north of Sebringville.
Investigation revealed that a north bound mini van on Perth Road 135 was struck by a west bound pickup truck on Line 39. The T bone impact collision caused serious injuries to the female passenger of the mini van requiring her to be transported to the Victoria Hospital Trauma Unit in London by air ambulance. The 40 year old female driver of the mini van from the Bornholm area and her backseat passenger were transported to the Stratford General Hospital by land ambulance with non life threatening injuries.
The 23 year old male driver from Stratford who was operating the pickup truck had been ejected from his vehicle and as a result sustained serious injuries. He was transported by land ambulance to the Victoria Hospital Trauma Unit in London.
The OPP Western Region Technical Traffic Investigation Unit was called to the scene and is continuing their investigation into the cause of the collision. The intersection remained closed to traffic for most of the night to allow for investigation and cleanup of the debris.
