Trevor HUFFMAN – Drunk Driving

(BLUEWATER, ON) – At approximately 7:45 p.m. on August 10, 2013 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Chevrolet Camaro travelling southbound on London Road at a high rate of speed.

Upon stopping the vehicle officers spoke with the driver and noted he had been drinking alcohol. In addition, officers observed an open container of beer inside the vehicle. A roadside test was completed which the driver failed. He was arrested for Drive Motor Vehicle – Over Milligrams of Alcohol and was later transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath; both were above the legal limit. Further checks also revealed the driver was currently on release conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol.

Trevor HUFFMAN, 33, from Kitchener was charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and Fail to Comply with Recognizance. He had a scheduled court appearance set for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on August 12, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
