A 19 year-old Annan-area woman was injured following a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday afternoon.
Around 3:40 PM the Owen Sound Police Service, Owen Sound Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to a crash that occurred at the intersection of 8th Street East and 28th Avenue East in the city of Owen Sound.
A 2007 Toyota Camry being operated by the woman on 8th Street East pulled into the path of a Chevrolet S10 pick-up truck being driven southbound on 28th Avenue East by a 60 year-old Williamsford man.
The driver of the truck was not injured, nor was the 19 year-old passenger of the Camry. The driver of the Camry received facial and rib injuries and was taken to hospital where she was treated and later released. Both vehicles were destroyed in the collision.
The driver of the Camry was charged with failing to yield contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
