Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic disturbance last night.
On August 13, 2013 just before 11:00 p.m. a 68-year-old woman reported that she had been physically assaulted by her husband during an argument earlier in the night. Through investigation, the woman revealed that this was not the first time that she had been assaulted. The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and did seek medical attention.
Shortly after 1:00 a.m. this morning, officers located the man at his residence and he was arrested. The 68-year-old Harwich Township man has been charged with two counts of assault. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
