A 19 year-old Chatsworth area man and a 16 year-old male youth face numerous charges after police caught them entering unlocked vehicles early Saturday morning.
Around 4:00 AM an officer patrolling the area of 9th Street East and 5th Avenue East observed suspicious activity. A subsequent investigation found that several unlocked vehicles in the area had been entered. A quantity of suspected stolen property has been recovered but the owners have yet to be identified.
The 19 year-old man faces charges of Theft Under $5000 and Possession of Stolen Property. The youth has been charged with Theft Under $5000, Possession of Stolen Property, Obstruct Peace Officer and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both males have been released and will appear in court in September.
