Shortly after 9:00 a.m. yesterday morning, emergency crews responded to a collision involving a pedestrian in Chatham.
A 47-year-old Chatham man was turning left from Riverview Drive onto Keil Drive when he struck a 53-year-old Chatham woman walking westbound through the crosswalk. The pedestrian sustained minor injuries but did not seek medical attention.
The man was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind all motorists to slow down around intersections to ensure all pedestrians have a chance to cross the roadway safely.
