(Ottawa)  Yesterday, the Ottawa Police Service East Division Traffic Enforcement Officers, along with Neighborhood officers conducted a distracted driving enforcement campaign on Ogilvie Road.
As a result, officers issued 23 Provincial Offence Notices (PON) and 7 verbal warnings in approximately 45 minutes. The observed offences were distracted driving, improper use of seatbelt, improper use of child restraint system, failing to have required documents.
The Ottawa Police Service East District Traffic Section will continue to conduct traffic enforcement initiatives to improve road safety.
