(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Saturday morning July 17, 2010 after 5 a.m. Perth County OPP officers were called to a suspicious vehicle on Line 83 west of Hesson.
The vehicle was located and a male person in an intoxicated state was observed in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The male was arrested for being in care or control of a motor vehicle and was transported to the North Perth OPP Detachment where he registered over .80 mgs. on the Intoxilyzer.
Steven Welker (34) of Guelph was charged with being in care or control of a motor vehicle while impaired and with being in care or control of a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of blood alcohol content. He is to appear in Stratford criminal court on August 30, 2010. He was also served a 90 day drivers licence suspension.
