A Chatham man has been arrested in connection with incident of domestic violence.
At about 8:30 p.m. last night, police were called to a residence on Turquoise Court in Chatham in response to a 911 call from inside the residence. A man and woman became involved in an argument that escalated into violence. It is alleged that the man assaulted and choked the woman during the altercation.
A 32-year-old Chatham man has been charged with two counts of assault and two counts of overcoming resistance. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
