Donald Hamilton – Drunk Driving

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Monday July 26, 2010 shortly before 12:30 p.m. Perth County OPP officers were advised of a driving complaint involving a west bound grey car on Perth Line 86 east of Listowel. Police also received a call advising that a grey car had just been involved in a collision on Perth Line 86 near Perth Road 131. The grey car had sideswiped a sports utility vehicle resulting in damage but no injuries.

Officers located the grey car with driver’s side damage at a residence on the east end of Listowel. A lone male person was located in the car who displayed signs of impairment. The male was arrested and transported to the North Perth OPP Detachment for breath tests and registered over .80 mgs. on the Intoxilyzer.

Donald Hamilton (77) of the Municipality of North Perth was charged with being in care or control of a motor vehicle while impaired and for being in care or control of a motor vehicle while having in excess of 80 milligrams of blood alcohol content. He is to appear in criminal court at the Atwood Community Centre on September 8th 2010 to answer to these charges. He was also served a 90 day licence suspension.
