(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH. ON) On Thursday evening July 29, 2010 Perth County OPP officers in Mitchell were called to investigate an incident involving pellets being fired from a vehicle at boys on bicycles.
Investigation revealed that two young boys who were riding their bicycles on St. Andrew St. at Waterloo St. in the Town of Mitchell around 9:05 p.m. A silver coloured 4 door sedan possibly a Chrysler Intrepid approached them from the south and as it passed, a male inside the vehicle pointed what appeared to be a pellet gun at them. The male fired 3 shots with one round hitting one of the boys. The projectile did not break the boy’s skin. The vehicle was last seen travelling northbound on St. Andrew St.
Two other people may also have been shot at by the person in the passing car but these victims did not report this to the police.
