(Goderich, ON) On August 4, 2010 a Comox Crescent resident called the Huron OPP to advise that his vehicle had been entered sometime overnight. The locked vehicle had been parked in his driveway with a GPS in the front. The window of the vehicle had been smashed with a large rock that caused significant damage. The GPS was taken along with assorted compact discs from the center console.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Huron OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or CRIME STOPPERS- 1-800-222-T.I.P.S. (8477). LP10208633
****With the ongoing vehicle entries, owners are once again being encouraged to remove all valuables from inside a vehicle when the vehicle is not attended as the valuables become ‘bait’ for thieves. The vehicle should also be locked. With nothing inside to steal, windows will not be broken to gain access. Almost always, vehicle entries and thefts from vehicles occur to unlocked vehicles containing valuables or to locked vehicles containing valuables in plain sight.****
