Buzzed Driver Caught Without Licence

Driving a motor vehicle without a Licence

Date: Sunday, September 8, 2013 – 8:50pm
On September 8, 2013 at 8:50 pm, Barrie Police officers attended a Napier Street residence regarding a theft of a vehicle by a family member. While officers were on scene the suspect returned home driving the vehicle.

Further investigation by police revealed the 32 year old driver did not have a driver’s licence and had consumed alcohol.

The driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Barrie Police Station for breath test.

The tests resulted in readings between 50 and 80 mgs of alcohol; the driver was subsequently issued a 3 day driving suspension.

The driver was also charged with driving a motor vehicle without a driver’s licence.
