(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Saturday August 14, 2010 shortly after 11:30 a.m. Perth County OPP officers were at the scene of a single motor vehicle crash on Road 178 west of Molesworth.
At the scene an extensively damaged car was situated against a telephone pole. The uninjured male driver of the car who displayed signs of impairment was arrested at the scene for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. The driver was transported to the North Perth OPP Detachment where he provided 2 breath samples into the Intoxilyzer Results of these breath tests were in excess of .80 mgs.
Dale Harrington (48) from Drumbo is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and having in excess of eighty milligrams of blood alcohol in one hundred millilitres of blood. He is to appear in criminal court at the Elma Community Centre in Atwood on October 13, 2010 to answer to these charges. He was also served notice of a 90 day drivers licence suspension.
