(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On Wednesday September 11, 2013 at approximately 8:48pm, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were patrolling along Wellington Road 5 near 3rd Line, Town of Minto. The officers observed a cyclist violate an offence under the Highway Traffic Act. The young male was spoken with and during the investigation suspected marihuana was located by police. It was also revealed that the male was violating his probation order.
A 16 year old male from Harriston is charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and also with Breach Probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 23, 2013 to answer to the charge.
