Signs Damaged In Walkerton

(WALKERTON, ON) On September 11, 2013 at 5:04 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call about damage to the parking signs at the Walkerton Legion located along Scott Street in Walkerton. As officers responded to the call, other acts of mischief were discovered. Between 2:00 am on September 11, 2013 and 5:00 am on September 11, 2013 the Walkerton Legion parking signs were damaged, real estate signs along McNabb Street were damaged, the Lions Club monument along Durham Street East was damaged and decorative rope lights were removed from the Durham Street East bridge were removed. The cost of the repair to the Lions Club monument is estimated to be $3,000 – $3,500. The replacement of the decorative rope lights is estimated to be $100.
