College Heights Secondary School is developing a program which gives students the hands on opportunity and experience to assemble and repair bicycles that have been donated. This initiative will take place during the lunch hour break as an extracurricular activity.
The bikes once completed will be raffled off to raise funds to help other clubs within the school. The Guelph Police Service made a donation of 4 bikes in need of repair to the program to assist in jump starting the program. On Sept 6, 2013, High School Resource Officer Cst. Dave Warren presented Ben McCabe with the bikes at the school.
