(KINCARDINE, ON) – The South Bruce OPP has been receiving reports of overnight vehicle entries and overnight theft from vehicles in the town of Kincardine. The South Bruce OPP would like to remind vehicle owners of the auto theft protection tips provided through the Lock it or Lose it program:
· Always roll up your vehicle’s windows, lock the door and pocket the key
1 If you have a garage, use it and lock the door as well as your vehicle
2 Keep your registration and proof of insurance with you, not in the glove box
3 Always park your vehicle in a well lit area
· Never leave your vehicle unattended while its running
1 Never leave your car keys in plain view
2 Never leave valuables in plain sight
